Napoleon Games .x. Superbet

( Context )

For 16 months, I’ve supported Napoleon Games in various capacities. Initially hired to lead the migration of the Belgian website to the international platform (Superbet Group), I went on to design multiple solutions for the new website & app, including the Refer-a-Friend program and the Loyalty program.
I also created a 5-year vision for the Casino

Identifying UX gaps

I made assumptions for the acquisition funnel design. Based on the form provided by Superbet’s parent company website, I thought it would be simpler for the user to use It’s Me. It’s Me is a Belgian KYC provider that allows users to share their legal information (ID card, address, etc.) with a single click, and it’s widely used in Belgium. In the current website statistics, only 30% of users were using this feature, so there were some concerns about my design proposal. To validate this, I conducted quick testing on usertesting.com and with real Napoleons users in physical tests. 100% of users clicked on It’s Me because it’s much faster, more reliable, and convenient (for Napoleon as well). It’s a win-win choice for both user experience and data quality for us.

Refer a Friend

It was rather rare, in this already feature-dense environment, to find something new for Napoleon. However, since the market was tougher in Belgium than in other Superbet member countries (Romania, Serbia, Germany, Brazil, etc.) and to circumvent the ad ban, we needed a new feature. My team and I decided to design a "Refer a Friend" feature in its entirety. From conceptualization to technical feasibility, we thought through everything, designed it all, and then pitched the project to the CEO of Napoleon. He then presented it to the Superbet Board. They were impressed by the quality of the project's thinking, its UX realization, and the aesthetic gamification. Here’s a preview of the Figma board. A Loom video is available upon request.

Branding Merge

I had to make proposals to evolve Napoleon's branding towards that of Superbet. The challenge was to retain the "Napoleon touch," identified by our users during interviews, primarily through specific color tones. This involved numerous prototypes and user testing.

Product Vision

I created a five-year product vision for the casino. The idea was to have a clear vision that would guide product evolution, rather than relying on features copied from competitors. The methodology involved stakeholder interviews, followed by prioritization and design projections. This work was praised internally by the CEO. Output is a key document, prototypes direction & a video presentation. Of course can't display there, but feel free to book a meeting
